I am facing the bluetooth problem with dell studio 1457. My Blue tooth disappeared after installing windows 8. I cannot find bluetooth option in device manager nor in PC wirless settings and windows 8 is not allowing me to reinstall BT driver even in compatibility mode. I reinstalled BT drivers from various sources but nothing works. Please help me.

The issue is that My E6410 was working fine for a long time Until I checked for Driver updates at the end of the year and simply downloaded this R285455 Bluetooth driver and thereafter the system reported that a driver was missing and led me to the Broadcom site and again no joy and now I have had to remove my Bluetooth Devices like Printer, Nokia E7 phone etc to minimize the issue of missing drivers from the Device Manager. I am still using my Mouse but though its drivers are reported missing, it is working. It is this frustrating since I like a clean machine

This solution worked for my XPS 1647 but I had to download the win 7 drivers for the wireless bluetooth 370 card. I went into the Win64 folder and right-clicked on the Inst file and followed the instructions. Then, I had to get the Win 8 drivers from the Widcomm site.
